Amara Osei in Kin

Amara doesn't need hair to command a room; her cheekbones do most of the talking. Born in Accra to a family of goldsmiths, she grew up watching her father shape precious metals with his bare hands, which instilled in her a reverence for craftsmanship that brands like Cartier and Bvlgari now seek out. Her shaved head, a choice she made at nineteen and never looked back from, has become her signature: a statement of radical confidence that makes her the go to for high jewelry campaigns where the face needs to be the frame. When she's not shooting, Amara is finishing her architecture degree, designing affordable housing concepts for West African cities. She dreams of building the first carbon neutral neighborhood in Accra, and knowing Amara, she won't stop until the foundation is poured.
