Suki moves through life the way she moves through a room: quietly, until suddenly she's the only person you can see. Raised in Kyoto by a family of textile artisans, she grew up surrounded by indigo dye vats and hand loomed silk, which gave her an almost molecular understanding of fabric before she ever stepped in front of a camera. That sensibility is what makes her a favorite for skincare and luxury editorials. She doesn't just wear a garment, she inhabits it. Off set, Suki is a devoted practitioner of kyūdō, Japanese archery, where she channels the same stillness that makes her so devastating on camera. She insists the sport taught her everything about modeling: "Hold your breath, release at the right moment, and never blink first." She's probably right.
